Agenda
나선은하가 컨셉이었던 Lightshade에서 형태를 발췌하고 변형하여 새로운 공간을 형성했다. 뫼비우스 띠와 유사한 형태인 계단형 공간과, 수직/수평 부재가 만나 다양한 공간을 형성한다. 바닥과 천장을 형성하는 나선형 계단의 내부 공간과, 열린 공간으로서의 개방감을 주는 공간이 존재한다. 수직 부재에 연결된 수평 부재의 배열은 뫼비우스 계단의 흐름을 따라가며 유동적인 느낌을 주는 것이 특징이다. 높은 위치에서 아래로 내려다볼 수 있는 공간도 찾아볼 수 있다.
A new space was formed by extracting and transforming the shape from Lightshade, where spiral galaxies were the concept. A step-shaped space similar to the Mobius strip and vertical/horizontal members meet to form various spaces. There is an inner space of the spiral staircase that forms the floor and ceiling, and a space that gives a sense of openness as an open space. The arrangement of horizontal members connected to the vertical member is characterized by giving a fluid feeling while following the flow of the Mobius stairs. You can also find spaces that can look down from high positions.
Concept
뫼비우스 계단
Möbius stairs
Lightshade의 연장선으로서 공간화 프로젝트의 컨셉을 정했다. Lightshade 형태가 나선형이고, 무한한 우주와 관련되어 있으며 나선형 계단의 형태를 찾을 수 있었기 때문에 ‘뫼비우스 계단’의 공간을 형성했다.
As an extension of the lightshade, the concept of the spatialization project was decided. Because the lightshade shape was spiral, related to the infinite universe, and the spiral staircase shape could be found, it formed the space of the ‘Möbius staircase’.
Design
나선형 계단의 형태를 따서 회전, 복제, 결합 등 다양한 변형의 과정을 거쳤고 이후 뫼비우스 계단의 형태를 도출했다. 먼저 두 개의 나선과 하나의 원형으로 형태를 만들었고, 이후 직선 부재들을 추가해 다양한 공간을 형상화했다.
It took the shape of a spiral staircase and derived the shape of the Mobius staircase through various deformations such as rotation, replication, and coupling. First, it was shaped by two spirals and one circle, and then a straight line member was added to shape various spaces.
